“Strange Times, My Dear” published in U.S.

TEHRAN, Dec. 17 (MNA) -- The book “Strange Times, My Dear: The PEN Anthology of Contemporary Iranian Literature" by Tom Pryor was recently published by Arcade Publishing in the United States, the Persian service of CHN reported on Saturday.

Edited by Nahid Mozaffari and Ahmad Karimi Hakkak, the book contains a rich and varied collection of contemporary short stories, extracts from novels, and poetry by 40 Iranian artists that showcases the latest developments in Iranian literature.

Mozaffari has taught Middle Eastern history at the New School in New York and at Cabot University in Rome, Italy. She received a Ph.D. in history and Middle Eastern studies from Harvard University.

Hakkak is Associate Professor of Near Eastern Languages and Civilization at the University of Washington and the author of numerous scholarly essays and books.
